It has been rumored for weeks and, finally, Samsung has presented its new foldable, a model with a book design that has accompanied the Galaxy note 20 series and that, of course, comes in the bronze color that already marks the whole family. .
This model moves away from the Galaxy Z Flip and its old folding form and is closer to that first Galaxy Fold that did not give too good results in terms of software. The brand wanted to improve the first version and claims to have optimized the hinges. However, for now we have little information about this terminal and most of it is about the screens.
In the part that we could call “interior” or that is inside when folded, we find a 7.6-inch OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, similar to the original model. While the one that changes the most is the exterior, 6.2 inches and that remains on the left side of the phone with an open view. One major change: the inner panels have no camera, all being on the outer panel and the back of the phone and getting a completely flat interior with Infinity-O screens.
One of the aspects that Samsung knew had to be improved if it wanted to introduce this type of device to the market is the hinge. The first Fold gave a series of failures that Samsung promises to have solved with a more robust design based on elastic fibers, which would avoid opening and closing problems and prevent dirt from entering that space. The interior screen, according to Samsung, is the most flexible on the market, but we will have to wait for the tests of external people and the experience of the users themselves to verify the work done.
Nothing is known about the processor, memory and other details, which leaves the public a bit cold and may affect its reception. The failures that the previous devices gave and the (probably) high price that this terminal will have can also mark the future of this model.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 is still priceless. What it does have is a release date, September 1, when it will be available in two colors: bronze and black.
