To put an end to this, the company owned by Jeff Bezos has decided to test a new program, currently only available in DC (USA), in which users can send and pick up their package at a police station.

We can say with a fair amount of conviction that anyone who sends their package there makes sure that no one is going to steal it. It was during this week that the city police announced the implementation of Amazon lockers in two of its police stations and if things go well, they will extend this program to all Washington headquarters.

In order to send your package to a police station, the user will have to be a resident of that city, and during the process of buying and shipping the product they want from Amazon, an option will appear that is to send it to one of these lockers.

Once the place has been assigned, the user will only have to go to the lockers and with the Bluetooth of their smartphone they will be able to open the locker where their package is located.
