We arrived at the last class of this GeneratePress course where we have been seeing little by little and we have thoroughly reviewed everything that this theme offers us.
We are going to finish off the course by looking at the child themes, how to manage them and the Site Library with the available demos. Go for it!
10.1 – Child Theme
We start with the child theme, not because it will have a specific design, but to have our own style.css, functions.php and be able to modify the page templates that we need without affecting the theme and therefore we can lose it in the next update.
As you can see, there is much more than the options that we have at first glance. Although most of them are generic things that can be applied to any theme using CSS, others are specific and it is good to know them.
So, download the child theme and take a look at the examples that we have left you below the video, and start tinkering 🙂
10.2 – Site Library
GeneratePress jumps on the bandwagon of themes that have demos to deploy automatically, with a couple of clicks the necessary plugins will be installed, the appropriate theme options will be imported and the content (texts and images) necessary to leave the web will be downloaded. finished… yes with the example content.
