Glovo launches an online supermarket with shipments 24 hours a day all week

Glovo, the messenger startup that allows users to buy almost any product in the city and have it at home in no time, has announced the arrival of its own supermarket in Barcelona, named SuperGlovo.

With the idea of making it easier for its users to buy supermarkets in the most efficient way, the new service will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This new option, which costs 3.90 euros per order, is available in Barcelona, although the company itself has explained that SuperGlovo will be extended to the rest of the cities where it operates.

The new service will allow immediate delivery on supermarket purchases, thus cutting the one-hour delivery offered by other services. However, the platform explains that there will also be the possibility of scheduling delivery at the time that the user indicates.

The great drawback of the service is the size of the purchase, since you can order everything that fits in the glover box, which has a capacity of up to 9 kilos.

For Barcelona, 7 collection points have been set up throughout the city that have the main consumer brands. In each of them there will be a person in charge of preparing each order so that when the glover arrives to collect the ordered products, the order is ready and waiting time is reduced.

“The project has optimized logistics to be by far the fastest player on the market and we are convinced that we will facilitate the weekly purchase of the supermarket to all our users in a satisfactory and efficient manner”, explains the vice president of operations of Glovo, Arnau Cortés .
