Gmail course #2: The inbox – .com

In this lesson of the Gmail course we will see the basics of the inbox and how to configure it to be more productive and have better control.

2 – Inbox

The inbox is the meeting point of all our communications, since email is still the most used messaging method on the Internet. So we must understand how it works, how to configure it, and how to optimize it to be more productive.

And also very important, we will see what functionalities and automations Google offers us that are not exactly optimal, and that we recommend deactivating, to have greater control of our received emails.

You see it. Gmail allows us a lot of flexibility in our inbox and various ways of presenting incoming emails, and even various automations. Some of them will work very well for us, and some of them not so much, as we have seen in the video. so you must choose based on the criteria that we have discussed, and your particular case.

And now yes, time for homework:

  • Adjust the density of the input tray
  • Activate the extra icons of the featured emails
  • Disable automatic sorting
  • Organize mail by blocks:
    • Featured (not important)
    • Not read
    • The rest
  • Activate the theme that you like the most
  • Place a corporate theme of your personal brand

I am sure that you will be able to do everything easily, but if you have any doubt, here you have us to solve it. See you in the next class, in which we will see an essential way to organize our mail. !Until then!
