Google and H&M create a personalized dress with your data!

Coded Couture (programmed sewing) is the one that the internet giant Google and H&M, la , have developed to create personalized dresses according to the data you generate from your daily activities.

All the data that Google knows about you

The doubt about you throughout the day is always present. Google works with our information and uses it in real time to adapt in a personalized way the online advertisements that it shows us on all the pages.

Since we create any Google account we start to generate data about us and what we like. With this, the internet giant wants to offer better experiences to its users and show the ad that we are most likely to click on. After all it is the foundation of your business.

From the union of Google and H&M arises Coded Couture

But now that data will also serve to create a custom dress only for you. As strange as it may seem, it is the latest project of Google and Ivyrevel, one of the divisions from H&M.

Together they have created Coded Couture, an android app that uses the API From , the tool that allows applications to use location data or information from mobile sensors to offer tailored services.

With this application you can create a unique and tailored dress, using a pattern based on places that have been visited recently or the route you have followed through the streets of a city.

How to use the app to create a custom dress

Using this system is very simple. You simply have to download the Coded Couture app (which will be available at the end of 2017), select what type of dress you want, for work, party or gala, Choose the style of the dress and add your measurements.

The application, with your permission, will take into account details such as the weather in your area, the activities you do on a daily basisthe sites where you have been for a whole week analyzing all your activities.

At the end of the week, the application will decorate the dress called “Dating dress” with lines based on the data collected and will suggest the material with which it will be made based on the temperature of the place where you live. Of course, this is what makes each dress unique, created based on the personality of each user. As you can see in the advertising video:

And even though the process is almost automatic, the system allows some modifications to adjust it to the taste of each person.

At the moment Google and H&M have launched a closed beta for a specific group of users, but it is expected to be available to everyone this year. The price will be around $99 dollars (just over 92 euros).

For now, you can be one of the first users to have the app and being able to design the dress that tells your story.
