A team of four Google employees has developed a set of 13 new designed emojis to better represent thes women in the professional world and thus promote gender equality. These Google female emojis have already been presented to the consortium unicode, the body that approves and standardizes icons.

In any chat or messaging app, the emojis available to use barely show women at work. That’s why Google has proposed 13 emojis that according to the team: “represent a wide range of professions for men and women, with the aim of highlighting the diversity of women’s careers and the empowerment of girls everywhere”.
The google female emoji represent various lines of work, such as health, education, technology or agriculture. It stands out that in the area of music, the emoji appears with its face painted like David Bowie, a kind of tribute to the legendary artist. All of them, with a fresh and striking design, are already included in a proposal () for the unicode consortiumwhich is responsible for the standardization of emojis around the world. If the insertion of these icons is approved in the next revision of said consortium, we will soon be able to enjoy them on Android, and surely also on iOS, Samsung and others.
The Google team commented on the proposal: “We believe we can make a bigger positive impact by adding 13 new emojis that represent women across a cross-section of professions.”as stated in Y is that according to the Unicode report, of the 92% of online consumers who use emojis, 78% of women use them frequentlycompared to 60% of men.
