How to access the tax data of the Income 2021-2022: these are the ways to do it

There are still several weeks to go before the start of the 2021-2022 Income Campaign, but the Tax Agency already allows taxpayers to access the tax data corresponding to the 2021 financial year, with which accounts must be settled with the Treasury.

In order to access these tax data, you must enter the Tax Agency website and go to the ‘2021 Income’ section, . Once on this page, the taxpayer must click on the ‘Tax data’ section, which appears in the ‘Featured procedures’ section in the upper right box.

By clicking on this option, the system will give you the opportunity to register with an electronic DNI or a digital certificate () or for the taxpayer to enter their DNI or NIE number. If you choose this alternative, you must subsequently indicate the expiration date of said DNI or NIE (or the date of issue if it is a permanent DNI). Then you have to click on ‘continue’.

At this time you can choose between accessing the data with Cl@ve () or with a reference number (the Tax Agency has explained how to achieve this).

The citizen can choose any of the three aforementioned methods (electronic ID or digital certificate, Cl@ve or reference number). When you enter with any of them you will find the section ‘Ratification of fiscal domicile’. There the system will reflect the information available to the taxpayer and that may come from other previous years.

You will be provided with the name and surname of the taxpayer, your DNI or NIE and the address data: type of road, name of the road, type of number, house number, stairs, floor, door, postal code, municipality, province, cadastral reference and the situation of the property. In addition, they also include the owner’s data.

If the information that appears is incomplete or erroneous, the taxpayer can click on ‘Modify’. The system will ask you for the correct cadastral reference to enter and change it to the wrong one. If the data is correct, you must click on ‘Ratify’. With the fiscal domicile already ratified, the system will inform you that said ratification has taken place. In addition, the taxpayer can get a receipt that will show the date of ratification and the method of access, in PDF format and downloadable.

What information appears in the tax data of the Income 2021-2022

Only after all these steps will the taxpayer get their tax data. These data will appear broken down by the origin of their income, whether from work, economic activities, movable or real estate capital, capital gains…as well as the boxes of the declaration in which the broken-down data will appear.

For example, in the case of income from work (salaries, benefits, pensions…) there will be concepts such as the NIF of the payer or payers, the name of the payer or payers, the amount of monetary remuneration, remuneration in kind and compensation for incapacity for work, as well as withholdings made, income on account and income on account passed on, and deductible expenses.
