How to make online banners with Canva

In the world of ecommerce it is very important to keep your store and networks updated both on a day-to-day basis and on special dates, with designs in line with the aesthetics of your brand.

The ideal is to have a person with knowledge in graphic design who can guide you and contribute their vision to achieve a strong brand identity in each piece.

Sometimes it is not possible to have this help. For this reason, today we are going to show you, step by step, how to design banners in different formats.

The tool we are going to use is called . After registering, the first step is to click on the “Create design” option.

One of the most interesting features of Canva is that offers different preset formats. Without having to worry about knowing the exact measurements of each one, we can design covers and posts for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In addition, it offers options to design pieces for websites, emails, blogs and many other materials.

After choosing the format, you can include photos in your design.

Canva offers photos from a free image bank. You can find this option in the menu on the left, under the “Elements” tab.

Also can you include illustrations. Under the same “Elements” tab you can choose between different designs such as animals, flowers, buildings, even emoticons.

Another alternative is to use a colored background. To select it, go to the “Background” tab and display the color palette by clicking on the icon with the “+” symbol.

Also, Canva allows you to upload your own photos for when you need to promote your products and make banners of your brand campaigns.

This option is found in the “Uploaded Files” tab. You have to click on the “Upload your images” button. Using this same option you can upload your brand logo to include it in your design.

Don’t forget to add some eye-catching text! Under the “Text” tab you can choose between several predetermined forms that you can modify as you prefer (color, size, position in space).

The last step is to download your banner and upload it to your store or social networks. In the upper right corner is the button to start the download.

It is important that you maintain the style of your brandusing the same type of images, typography, logo and colors when creating banners and publications.
