How to search for keywords on Google in 2022?

Surely in most SEO blogs or people specialized in online stores, websites, niches, etc… the main reason to explain how to search for keywords in google is to sell you a course, a product or a tool. Well, in this article I am going to tell you a practical case on how to search for keywords in Google Chrome or another browser for free.

When I write these articles, the truth is that I would very much like to do it using a client’s website as an example or showing one of my “serious” niches with which I receive the most income, but I try not to do it because there are always imitators who are going to try to set up the same web or people who out of envy try to tear down the web that I give as an example. So this time I am going to put one of my personal “niche” websites but it is not optimized at all, mainly due to lack of time.

This is the website where before “leaving parked” the project tried to position itself by the main suitcase brands on the marketsomething that is very complicated because positioning for a brand is very difficult to get into the top 3 that Google usually saves for the brand’s own website and because there are several expert SEOs involved in the garlic of the suitcases.

Let’s get down to business and I’ll tell you the first method of how to search for keywords in Google with the help of it.

If we analyze the words by which it positions my url of suitcases10.online/tumi With the Ahrefs tool (don’t worry, you can get keywords without this tool) we can see the following:

That internal page is ranking for a total of 76 words as of mid-September 2019:

  • 22 words in Spain.
  • 14 words in Mexico.
  • 13 words in Chile
  • 9 words in the United States.
  • Etc…

I’ve sorted the keyword results by “position”, in this way we will know which words are found on the first page, which ones on the second page, third page, fourth page, etc… this is very important and I will explain it in another future article if I get the chance.

With this tool we can already get keywords for which our internal url is positioning on the first pages of google, perhaps without even having them written in our text… so if we managed to identify all those words to have them written in our text, images h2, h3, h4, etc… surely we would get a extra push to gain more positions which would translate into gaining more traffic to our internal Tumi luggage page.

Option #1: Let Google help you with keywords

Well, in the first of the methods that I am going to show out of a total of threewe simply have to go to our google browser and write our keyword followed or preceded by a “*” so that google throws us all the results that it considers interesting and that other readers have searched for in the international search engine.

This is what we would have to write in the google browser:

  • “keyword””*”
  • “*””keyword”

Doing this I get these results of words I should add to the inner text of my Tumi bags page:

There you have a long list of words that I should add to my text on the inner page of Tumi suitcases to improve my presence in the search engine.

This is what you should do but with your website, online store, business, etc… and do not forget to search for more than one keyword in Googleso that I would also have to search for:

  • Tumi hand luggage.
  • Tumi backpacks.
  • Tumi Trolley
  • Etc…

Option #2: Let Google keep helping you with keywords

In the same way that we have used the previous “trick”, if we search in our browser for our keywords we can go to the end of the google screen by scrolling and to the end of everythingwe can see that google gives us a series of words or phrases related to our keyword that perhaps we should analyze and see if they would help us in our text.

To carry out this method we only have to write, in my case for example, the word “tumi suitcases” and these are the results that I get:

As you can see in the picture, I already have a handful of interesting keywords to google they should show up on my internal page or website.

Option nº3: Use the “Google Search Console” tool

You don’t have to spend your money on complicated tools with hundreds of data that you need days to analyze if what you want is to make your own and gradually grow in visibility. When you are starting a project, it is not worth spending a lot of money on tools that at first you do not know how to use; That’s why if you’re starting to write on a blog, your personal website, etc… I recommend that you focus on the tools that Google puts at your fingertips and for free: Analytics and Search Console.

In this case, I am going to talk to you about the Search Console tool to find out how to search for keywords in Google for which you are positioning (even on very distant pages) and you do not even have written on your website, blog or online store.

I will explain it step by step with images so that everything is clearsince I consider this to be the best of the methods to attack keywords, especially the so-called “” long-tail words; which are the phrases of your theme for which they search in google and are made up of several words, do not worry that now we will see a practical example step by step.

1.- We enter our Search Console tool and click on the “Pages” tab to show us the pages of our website. In this case, the pages of my suitcases10.online website are sorted by the total number of clicks they have received in the last 3 months, from highest to lowest.

Once here on this page, we will click on the page that interests us to analyze To see what words we can position in Google, in my case I click on the first of all, which is the page that comes up with the url of https://maletas10.online/tumi to go to the next step:

2.- In this step, as we see on the screenfirst we have to click on the “QUERIES” tab so that we get all the keywords by which the url that we have selected before positioned, which was the Tumi internal page on my luggage website And in second place, We will click on the “impressions” column In this way, we will be able to see which words are the most searched for in google related to the “tumi” brand and that google takes us into consideration. I will explain another time how to order these words to know which ones are on the first page to improve their positioning and get more visits… but in this case what we are looking for is to find keywords in my sector for which I appear in google and I do not have them written on my website.

In this way, if Google took me into consideration for that word even if I did not have it written on my blog, if I write it on my website and also put an image with an alt with that keyword in question, my blog will surely improve its presence. in google and gain more visibility.

In this way I found the following words in Search Console for which I am positioned in Google but that I do not have written in my blog, they are the following:

  • How to search for these words quickly on your website? I have searched my blog using the Ctrl+F command that opens a small window and if you write a word there it highlights it in colors within the text and tells you the number of times that word is repeated. I guess this is already known, but I’ll leave it in case someone who is clueless thinks he has to search one by one by reading the entire text hehe

As you can see in the picture, I have marked with a green line the words that do not appear in my article or internal page about Tumi suitcases and that you should add for various reasons such as:

  1. If I add those words to my page as is, I will improve not only in the positioning of the same but the entire article or page itself will have more value and meaning for google with which I will gain positions in the Google Serps and surely I will begin to position myself for other new words that I should also add in a couple of months when doing the whole process again.
  2. If you look and add the number of impressions of just those words, which if I keep scrolling down there are many more… you will see that my website would opt to get about 1784 more clicks in the next 3 months (I already warn you that it is impossible to get all the clicks, it is only a mathematical fact). This can make a lot of difference in an online store, for example, since can translate into multiple purchases.
  3. This is really a lot of work, imagine if you do it on all the internal pages of your online store, corporate website, service website, etc… the growth could be brutal; such that the I show you an example through this image from the web of low consumption radiators

Through the image you can see how this web of radiators has improved substantially, so much so that he has doubled his traffic with these techniques. This is due in the first place to the fact that the texts were commissioned without a large load of related keywords in the research initially. Hence, when this basic SEO “trick” or “technique” was used, the visits doubled.

I hope that these tips will help you improve the positioning, presence and visits on your website. If you have any more questions about how to search for keywords in google, do not hesitate to contact me through my personal twitter or through the comments on this post.
