We’re back with news! If a couple of weeks ago we told you about different techniques, this time we are talking about Chromecast, a topic that we told you about last month.
With Chromecast you can connect your mobile device to the television very easily. You have different options that we will tell you now, so pay close attention and… Get yours!
But first of all, look at them in case you want to increase your speed. Then don’t cry if you get stuck halfway through the chapter.
What is Chromecast
Chromecast is a device for playing multimedia content on television. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, smartphones and tablets Android, Mac and Windows laptops and Chromebooks.
Once connected, you can use your mobile or tablet to send music, movies, games…No need for cables! But how do you do it?
Initial premise: simplicity
Forget about having to use a tangle of cables or be a computer engineer to configure it. It’s much easier.
To get started, connect your Chromecast device to a power source using the USB cable and power adapter included in the box. Next, connect the Chromecast to an HDMI port on your TV. Plug the power supply into a power outlet.
When the Chromecast is connected, your TV should display the device’s home screen. If it doesn’t display automatically, press the Input or Source button on your TV until the home screen appears.
Now you will have to set up Chromecast on your device. To do this, access Google from a Chromecast compatible device and install the Google Cast application. You can also download it from Google Play.
Accept the ‘Terms of Service and Privacy Policy’. Then sign in to your Google account. In the app, go to ‘Devices’ and select the one you want to configure. Then click ‘Configure’ (‘Set up’ in the image).
A code will appear. Check that the code that appears on your device matches the code on the TV. Confirm ‘Code appears’.
Another screen will appear. Set a name for your Chromecast (optional). Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and press ‘Establish network’. If your Chromecast needs an update, it will be done now.
When the update is complete, you can start casting by going to ‘Browse your Google Cast-enabled apps’.
All content in your hand
Once set up, just tap the ‘send’ button on your device to enjoy your favorite content on the big screen.
You can use your phone to browse, queue content, and control the TV from anywhere in the house. Plus, you can continue using it to perform other tasks without interrupting content playback. And best of all, you won’t waste any more battery!
With Chromecast you can send to your television what appears on your screen tablet either smartphone. You’ll be able to view vacation photos and videos, presentations and more on a bigger screen than ever.
Google offers you two options
The Chromecast device is available in two versions for TV: Chromecast and Chromecast Ultra. Both allow the projection of screens smartphones, tablets and portable. There is another version just for music: Chromecast Audio, for 39 euros.
The first option for TV, Chromecast, allows you to send content in HD up to 1080p, loads content quickly, and connects to your router via wifi. It costs 39 euros.
On the other hand, Google will soon release Chromecast Ultra, for 79 euros. This version plays content with quality up to 4K Ultra HD and HDR. It is faster than the standard version, it can connect to your router via wifi and also via Ethernet (cable).
