Step 2: click on the extension icon in the upper right corner of the address bar.

Step 3: now click on the pin icon next to the Picture-in-Picture extension to pin it to the toolbar.

Step 4: Go to any of your favorite streaming sites and play a video

Step 5: Click on the Picture-in-Picture extension on your toolbar and the video will start playing in a floating window.

3. Picture-in-Picture with playback controls extension

Viewing videos in pop-up video mode takes away the player controls from you. With Picture-in-Picture with Playback Controls Extension, you can stick a small playback control button on your screen to play, pause, rewind, and fast-forward the video. It also provides keyboard shortcuts to do the same.

The controls work with all OTT platforms and streaming services. This is how you can add this extension:

Step 1: download the one from the Chrome Web Store.

Step 2: After downloading, pin the extension to your toolbar by first clicking the extension icon in the upper right corner of the address bar.

Step 3: then click on the pin icon next to the Picture-in-Picture extension with playback controls to pin the extension.

Step 4: can right click on the extension icon and go to Options to access the extension settings.

This is where you can change the position of the play button on your screen and change the shortcut controls.

Get Floating Video for Prime, Netflix, Twitch in Firefox

If Firefox is your favorite browser, you won’t miss a thing. You can still enjoy the popup video feature, and there are a couple of ways to do it. Like Chrome, we’ve tested on various streaming services and OTT platforms. So, without any further delay, let’s see how you can get popup videos on your Firefox browser.

1. Enable the built-in picture-in-picture mode

Firefox added a popup video feature to its browser a while ago. No need to install any plugin to access it. And it’s enabled by default, so you can start using it right away, or you may already be familiar with it. In any case, let’s see how you can use it:

Step 1: Go to YouTube or any other streaming service and play a video .

Step 2: Hover over the bottom left corner of the video and you will see a small button appear. This is the picture-in-picture button.

Step 3: click on the picture in picture button and the current video will appear in a popup video.

If you have trouble finding it, change the video to full screen mode and try again.

If it still doesn’t appear, it may have been disabled for some reason. You need to enable it again by going to settings. This is how you can do it:
