HTML course #3: Text formats – .com

Welcome to the third class of the . In today’s class we will see what tags we can use to give various types of text formatting, and we will remember the best SEO practices.

3 – Text Format Tags

HTML is fundamentally text. It is true that it can have many more multimedia elements, but in most cases we will be working with text. Hence the name HyperText Markup Language.

Well, we are going to see how to give a little joy to a plain text, to mark, delimit and highlight certain parts of it. From a simple underline, to a highlight, going through quotes, spaces or even code.

As you can see, the concept is always the same. Opening tag, closing tag, and optionally, attributes. All HTML language will be the same. It will simply be a matter of knowing the more labels the better. So, homework for the day:

  • Make a fork of the notes below the video and “fidget”.
  • Create a page with:
    • Headers
    • Paragraphs
    • Underlined, bold and italics
    • forced line breaks
    • Code and preformatted text
    • Delimit a text to apply attributes to it
