Alberto Núñez Feijóo presented this Monday at the National Executive Committee the team that will accompany him from here to the elections for the Presidency of the Government. The new president of the Popular Party has dispensed with the first positions of the faces that accompanied Pablo Casado, and has opted for the experience of leaders in governments, especially regional ones. Only for the economic deputy secretary, Feijóo has opted for four Treasury advisers and an Environment adviser.
On the verge of his arrival at the Senate this week, and being able to dialectically confront the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has released this Monday the organization chart of the structure of his new team at the head of the national leadership of the P.P.
Feijóo has detailed to the Executive Committee each one of the legs of his organization chart starting with the economic team, headed, as was already known, by Juan Bravo, deputy secretary of the area and also Andalusian Treasury Minister, being, as the leader recalled Galician, who manages the largest budget of all the CCAA)
In this area, economically, Bravo will rely on:
Miguel Corgos (Minister for Finance of the Xunta), now responsible for Finance, the Public Sector and European Financing; Luis Marín (Minister of Finance of Murcia), and from this Monday, responsible for the General Secretariat of Reforms and Innovation; Paloma Martín (Minister of Finance for the Environment of Madrid), and from this Monday, Secretary of the Environment, Mobility and Sustainability; Javier Thibault (former General Director of Employment), and in this team, Secretary of Employment, Pensions and Social Dialogue; José Vicente Marí (former Minister of Finance of the Balearic Islands) and from now on, Secretary of Industry, Tourism, Commerce and Business and Circular Economy; and, finally, the senator, José Martínez Antolín, now responsible for the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development.
“How to guarantee pensions?”
With this team, Feijóo said, the PP presents people who know how to manage, who have not come to lie to the Spanish, who know that the situation is worrying and who have not come to blame the Government for everything. They come -he has remarked- to provide alternatives and solutions, and not to promise that they are going to lower taxes, because they are already doing it, as Ayuso has come to announce today, or they have already advanced it from Castilla y León and from Galicia.
They have come – the leader of the opposition continued – to ask what the Government thinks of the situation we are experiencing, who is going to pay for the adjustment of the tax increases, what the Government has notified Brussels of, and what reforms they are going to be carried out so that Europe authorizes the following payments of European funds, Next Generation. For how long – continued Feijóo pointing out – are we going to continue indebting our children at the rate of 200 million euros a day; how are pensions going to be guaranteed while we go to Davos with an economic plan without an EU visa, which does not have a realistic plan or fulfilled plans or figures that fit with real growth, while all the independent organizations are warning us of, too much public debt, too much unemployment and too much uncertainty on the subject of pensions.

In the social area of the new leadership of the PP, and with Carmen Navarro at the helm, the National Executive Committee approved the appointments of Ana Pastor, Oscar Clavell, Concha Dancausa and Patricia Rodríguez.
Antonio Román, Ana Isabel Alós and Engracia Hidalgo will work for the Regional and Local Politics area, under the direction of Pedro Rollán, former mayor of Torrejón de Ardoz, former councilor of the Community of Madrid and even president of the institution.
Esteban González Pons, at the head of the institutional area, will rely on Gabriel Mato, Jaime de los Santos and Ana Vázquez. The MEP will be in charge of leading the area of Justice and Defense.
In Territorial Policy, under the direction of Miguel Tellado, Genoa will have the help of Ángel González, José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro, Carmen Funez, Sofía Acedo and Antonio Rodríguez.
The congress
Feijóo has taken the option of keeping each of the spokespersons for Congress, the Senate and the European Parliament, Cuca Gamarra, Javier Maroto and Dolors Montserrat, respectively.
In the case of Congress, the National Executive Committee of the PP has approved the appointment of Carlos Rojas at the head of the secretariat of the Popular Group, as well as Guillermo Mariscal as his second. In addition, Jaime Olano will be in charge of the Economic and Treasurer area, and Marta González of the Social Policy area with José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro at the head of Institutional Policy, while Marga Prohens, Isabel Borrego, Pablo Hispán and Macarena Montesinos will hold other positions. .
Likewise, Álvaro Pérez López, former director general of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Xunta de Galicia with Feijóo, will be in charge of the parliamentary direction and coordination of all the chambers and the European Parliament.
Arenas recovered for the Senate
For the Senate, Feijóo has recovered Javier Arenas below Javier Maroto, along with Ana Alós, José Antonio Monago, José Manuel Barreiro, Antonio Román and Asier Antón, among other leaders.
