‘La Cartera’ buys back Inditex at 22.22 euros and remains positive

Inditex only took one day to return to the elEconomista.es Portfolio after leaving last Friday. The active management tool proposed by this medium sold the position, with gains of 8% in textiles last week, an area that was drilled in the same opening on Monday, so the portfolio is once again 100% invested.

The investment thesis in Inditex is simple. The company has encountered a strong headwind this year with rising inflation and the forced closure of its stores in Russia, which is one of its main markets. From there has come the punishment that the Galician is suffering on the parquet, which this course already exceeds 24%, being one of the worst of the year for the Ibex in this sense.

However, for the group of analysts, the company has been penalized too much and this has opened a large gap between its price and its average valuation. The consensus of experts, although it has also been adjusting it, sets its target price at 28.3 euros, which leaves an upward potential for its titles of just over 32% for the next 12 months. Likewise, it receives a clear buy recommendation, endorsed by 70% of the analysis houses that follow it.

In addition, the poor performance on the stock market has opened up an extra attraction for the investor, which is none other than the dividend. At these prices, the profitability of its payments already exceeds 5% and therefore enters the select club of companies with the highest dividends (although it also offers organic growth in profits).

The portfolio resists in positive

The correction that all the world stock markets are suffering has not been alien to the Spanish one and, therefore, to La Cartera de elEconomista, which has seen how a large part of its gains have been eroded in recent days. However, it manages to resist positively thanks, above all, to the accumulation of dividends, which have served as a cushion against falls in the stock market.
