Men’s jewelry is a field in perpetual discussion: yes, because it is time for us gentlemen to decorate ourselves; Better not, we seem a bit of a jerk.
This season, designers, celebrities and it boys say yes, at least to narrow chain pendants.
They took the pendants with a leather chain around the neck, the rosaries, the white coral necklaces, the huge link chains, the colored beads… and after a few months, everything ended up being tacky. It is possible that in four days this information self-destructs and we have to say that “it wasn’t me” but gentlemen, there is an alternative in jewelry for us: slightly long chains with a pendant.
Do not accuse us of “taking it out of the hat” that we have proof that it is: famous people already put it in their looks. Such will be the trend that even Pete Doherty, ex-leader of The Libertines and ex-boyfriend of Kate Moss, has presented a collection of jewelry where the trend is reflected. Pete, visibly recovered from his past addictions, launches into an almost unexplored market with the Albion Trinketry brand and full of symbols ranging from the figure of the military hero to the historical or religious iconography of the United Kingdom.
And it is that the military trend, far from the typical best-seller badges from H&M, seems to inspire designers when it comes to putting a pendant on men’s necks. Such are the cases of Love Bullets (between 26 and 34 euros) that design pendants in the shape of a missile, grenade or cartridge. Another clear “muse”, the anchors. Land sailors with anchors around their necks, in this case signed by Simon Carter (38 euros) or the one from Pyrrha (413 euros).
