Mercadona, Lidl, Carrefour, Alcampo… This is the supermarket with the best prices, according to its customers

In times where the shopping cart has lived, and is living, finding the most profitable supermarkets is a pipe dream in order to save on domestic consumption. A task in which the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has lent its efforts, according to their own clients, where a key aspect for their qualification is the price and discounts they offer daily.

Although taken with the opinions of users of different supermarket chains in the summer of 2021, the OCU has now wanted to lend a hand when it comes to opting these days for one or another establishment to fill the shopping cart. A more than remarkable classification, in a few days where the rise in the price of energy, the war between Russia and Ukraine and the carrier strike has led to a combo where the lack of supplies is beginning to be evident in some chains.

While ensuring that for all consumers, opting for one chain or another remains a matter of … and also the price imposed on them. For this reason, the importance of the opinion of consumers, as they are the ones who directly test the costs of filling the shopping basket on a daily basis.

These are the supermarkets with the lowest prices

In this way, starting from 100 as the perfect value for users, no supermarket in Spain comes close to this score. It is a 79 presented by the Catalan chain BonÀrea, although with increasing presence in the rest of the country, the best of all notes showing that this is the chain with the best prices, according to its own customers.

Lidl stands out as the best valued national chain in prices towards its customers

Of course, even without this presence throughout the country, it is only located in Catalonia, Madrid, Aragon, the Valencian Community and, to a lesser extent, Navarra, La Rioja and Castilla-La Mancha, among the chains that do operate throughout Spain, it stands out Lidl.

With a 76 valuation in its prices, the German chain thus shows what has always been its great strength in order to attract consumers. Something similar to what Alcampo and Aldi present, both with a 75 price score, thus demonstrating that this is one of the conditions that their customers value the most.

Already in a third rank, at the national level, are Consum, Froiz or Mercadona while among the chains with the worst pricing policy for the OCU are BM Supermercados and Condis, with a valuation of 64 and 62, respectively.

Mercadona, the worst chain in offers and promotions

As far as the discount policy is concerned, customers here are more demanding and only Carrefour and Lecrerc exceed or equal the 75 rating (the main French chain gets 76 out of 100). A key strength for the French hypermarkets, it is through this offer policy where their loyalty with consumers reaches the most.

On the other hand, the worst result comes with Mercadona (47 valuation), always reluctant to this policy of promotions and discounts, while the case of BonÀrea is also curious, which despite its very low prices fails in this section by denying these offers .

All important aspects when choosing the best option to make the purchase these days, where the price has generally risen in all products, further damaging the already weak average Spanish family economy.
