Metro de Madrid extends the closure of line 2: the Retiro, Banco de España, Sevilla, Sol and Ópera stations will remain closed until the end of May

As if we did not have enough, today we have learned that line 2 of the underground will extend its closure from the Retiro station to Ópera starting this Wednesday, April 24, so the stations affected by the work being carried out by the underground will increase to five in this section: Retiro, Bank of Spain, Seville, Sol and Ópera.

According to some posters distributed by the stations, line 2 will extend its closure for one more station, up to Ópera, and will continue without service until the end of May, after closing last January.

Let us remember that in January there were problems in the tunnel as a result of the works that have been carried out for months in the Canalejas complex, (a section that has already been out of service for four months). Faced with this situation, in the section closed to connect Príncipe de Vergara with the Plaza de Callao.
