Microstock photography course #9. The photos that sell the most – .com

In this lesson we are going to see what is sold in the microstock industry. I am going to walk in the TOP-SELLERS of three of the most important agencies, in addition, I will show you how you can see the downloads that the images of other authors have had.

Likewise, we will also see how we can get ideas when preparing a photo session, whatever the theme.

To finish off the class, I propose 10 exercises for you to try different disciplines to sell your photos. Ideally, you should follow them and, even if some of the themes are not of interest to you, you will make an effort to try it. I assure you that you will be surprised!

I recommend that you create a Bookmarks folder in your browser with the title “inspirational photographers” and to which you add the portfolios of the photographers that interest you –in class I show you how you can find them-.

Take some time to get inspired and see what you can produce too.
In the last part of the class I suggest you do a photographic exercise. Even if you think it’s not necessary, it will help you try new disciplines and understand how the microstock market works and what mistakes you can make when producing different types of images.

To complete this class, produce 10 photos and put them up for sale on each of these themes:

  • Exercise 1: Food
  • Exercise 2: The market
  • Exercise 3: Pattern, Background and textures
  • Exercise 4: Landscapes
  • Exercise 5: Animals
  • Exercise 6: Cities
  • Exercise 7: Travel and traveling portraits.
  • Exercise 8: Trades
  • Exercise 9: Photos of models
  • Exercise 10: Creative photos
