At this price, customers must add another 110.86 euros/MWh, coming from the compensation to the gas companies that will be paid by the consumers who are beneficiaries of the measure, the consumers of the regulated tariff (PVPC) or those who, despite being in the free market, they have an indexed rate. Thus, the final average price will be 217.42 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).
This figure is 25.4% lower than that of the previous day, when electricity cost an average of 291.57 euros/MWh. In the same way, it is further removed from the maximum levels of last week, when on Wednesday it reached 486.21 euros/MWh on average, the second highest price in history.

The impact of the ‘Iberian exception’
