Productivity Course #10. Inbox Zero – .com

Welcome to the tenth lesson of the , in which we have been looking at theory, practice and tools to be more productive (forgive the redundancy).

Today we will introduce “Inbox Zero”, that is, the discipline of having an empty inbox. We will achieve this through certain techniques and tools.

10 – Inbox Zero

have an inbox (received mail folder) to zero, that is, empty, it is not just a hobby, an aesthetic theme or a fashion. It’s about being more productive.

If you have an inbox with pages and pages of emails, some read, some unread, some read but unanswered, etc. Most likely don’t be as productive as you could be. The inbox should only be for mail that you just received and that needs to be dealt with in some way or another, be it deleted, replied to, filed, labeled, or cataloged. But not to accumulate hundreds of emails of different priorities, states and origins.

The fact is that this is not an easy task, far from it. But the tool that we will see today will be of great help to achieve it. Thanks to it, we will be able to derive incoming emails depending on each case, so that this inbox is only a kind of distribution “hub”. In addition, I will also advance some details of the Gmail course that we will start shortly. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

As you can see, thanks to this tool, we can manage the time we spend answering emails much more efficiently, but without procrastinating, or with the risk of some important email “sneaking in” among the mass of emails that sometimes accumulate. in that “Inbox”.

Regarding the “mini-progress” of some of the techniques that we will see in the Gmail course, if you have any questions or want me to incorporate something into the subject that we will discuss, do not hesitate to tell me. I assure you that if you have that doubt, many other people may also have it, even if they do not dare to ask. 🙂

So, here ends the productivity course. I hope that throughout these 10 sessions you have learned at least one or two techniques or tools that make you more productive. With that I am already satisfied!

See you in the next class. Until then… Work no more… work better! 😉
