Re-Cycle: the new used clothing campaign from the French company Veepee

Have you ever wondered what to do with your clothes when you don’t like them anymore? Well, this same question was asked by the French company Veepee, which has turned around your line of business and introduced its new Re-Cycle platform in Spain.

Re-Cycle, the new circular economy campaign

The , specializing in the flash sale of discount brand clothing, has decided to launch its new circular economy project called Re-Cycle in Spain, a collection service for second-hand clothes that will be resold or recycled, as a sign of its commitment to the environment. According to Jacques Antoine Granjonfounder and CEO of Veepee “Re-Cycle works like a reverse flash sale”.

Veepee members who submit their products, will receive a consumption coupon valued at €20 that can be used both in physical stores and in the online channel of Campera footwear company and collaborating brand of the project. After receiving the garments, the company will assume the and treatment of the products, while deciding their final destination, that is, whether they will be resold or recycled. If they are marketable, the garments will be washed, ironed and photographed for later sale. If, on the other hand, the clothing is badly damaged, it will be delivered to an expert in recycling textile materials.

Albert Serranogeneral director of Veepee in Spain has shown his enthusiasm for the campaign stating that “Re-Cycle is an initiative aligned with Veepee’s DNA and the principle of circularity, as it allows us to offer a new solution to brands to meet the challenges of the product life cycle”.

In the year 2020, Veepee launched in his first Re-Cycle campaign and, to date, around 30 campaigns have already been carried out, thanks to which approximately 150,000 garments have been collected, which is equivalent to 25 tons of clothing.
