Reebok will pay 25 million to EasyTone and RunTone users

Reebok will have to pay the users of its EasyTone and RunTone shoes close to 25 million dollars when it is verified that said footwear does not provide extra toning

The Federal Trade Commission, in charge of eliminating and preventing deceptive advertising practices and protecting the consumer, has verified through various scientific tests that Reebok shoes do not fulfill the advertised promises of helping to improve muscle tone.

The organization, realizing this fact, launched a class action lawsuit against Reebok, as YoDona claims on its website, with an unfavorable result for the sports brand, which must pay about 25 million to the plaintiffs.

Reebok claimed that its footwear helped increase the strength of the buttock muscles by 28% and that of the calves by 11%, something that has been proven to be false. In response to the lawsuit, the brand has sent a statement in which they maintain their support for the EasyTone line, ensuring that its technology is the most advanced and that they expect improvements that guarantee their results.
