The database name cannot be changed just like that. Indeed, the name of the database can be changed from the Joomla global configuration, but in this case the new database that you have put must exist and contain the same data as the old one.
In addition, it would most likely be that you would also have to change the database user and the password of this user, although the latter would have to be done by editing the configuration.php file that you have in the root of the web.
From the CPanel control panel of your hosting account you can create new databases and users to access them, but I don’t see the need for you to change the name of your database if the web already works correctly for you, since this is a data that will be completely transparent to the visitors of your website.
