Plusdede, the well-known portal that would allow watching series and movies online, has announced that it will close this week, which has generated multiple comments on social networks under the hashtag #ripdede
Through a statement displayed as soon as the user enters the platform, it announces that “we regret to say that for reasons beyond our control, the website will close this week.”
The platform, heir to Pordede, allows users to download the history of the series, movies and episodes that have been seen, as well as hoping that “someone will take over and allow this data to be imported.”
The end of the platform comes due to the rise of streaming platforms and the increasing consumption of content through legal alternatives, as well as the monitoring that is being done of initiatives that violate copyright.
Plusdede took over a new version of Pordede released, which came to replace a previous version in July of last year.
The platform released mobile apps on both Android and iOS, but both Google and Apple decided to pull them from their respective app stores in February and March, respectively.
