Shopify course #2. Installation and configuration – .com

Do you want to have an online store in less than 5 minutes without having to hire a server or a domain? Well, with Shopify said and done.

In the first part of this lesson we will analyze the reason for choosing this platform to create our online store by comparing it with the most used CMS. Some open source like Prestashop, Magento or Woocommerce and others closed source like Bigcommerce.

It is vital to know the differences between open and closed source CMS because it will change our eCommerce model a lot. Is Shopify with its closed source the perfect platform for your eCommerce?

In the second part of the lesson we will install Shopify to create our online store by choosing the 14-day free trial period.

Being a closed-source CMS, we will use Shopify’s cloud services, so we won’t need to hire a server to host our store. Faster and easier impossible!

With our store created, we will know the default theme that comes with Shopify, and we will enter the administration panel to make the first adjustments in our store.

In the next lesson we will learn how Shopify works when uploading a catalog. With total security, it is the most routine task that we will have to face and the one that will take most of our time.

Learning to use the massive importer to save time can be one of the keys to getting closer to success with our eCommerce.

And if you have any doubt or question, you can send it through the support form of the subscriber intranet. See you in the next lesson!
