SpaceX, in the clouds: it would become the most valuable startup in the US with a valuation of 125,000 million

SpaceX could become the most valuable startup in the US by reaching a valuation of 125,000 million dollars. If confirmed, Elon Musk’s space company would surpass the payment company Stripe, whose valuation amounts to 115,000 million dollars.

The last time SpaceX was valued was in October, when the company’s shares sold for $56 each and hit $100 billion. After the recent sale of shares in the secondary market, in which they have been traded at around 72 dollars a share, the global valuation of the company would amount to 125,000 million dollars. The number of shares that have been put up for sale is unknown.

On this occasion, no new shares have been issued, but investors will have the opportunity to acquire shares at the end of this year, as confirmed by a source from the company itself in statements to Reuters.

With this new valuation, SpaceX would surpass Stripe and widen the distance with Shein, with a value of 100,000 million dollars, and Klarna, with a value of 45,600 million dollars, according to data from CB Insights. However, it would still be behind the 140,000 million of Bytedance, parent of TikTok, the most valuable startup in the world.

According to information published by the technology blog WCCF Tech, Elon Musk owns almost 44% of SpaceX, although Reuters has not been able to confirm this figure.

$250,000 to cover up a case of harassment

The space company would have paid $ 250,000 to a flight attendant of the SpaceX corporate plane to remove one. The facts date back to 2016.

The flight attendant accused Musk of showing her his erect penis, rubbing her leg without consent and even offering to give her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage, according to interviews and documents compiled by Business Insider.

In response to this publication, the founder of SpaceX has described the news as “politically motivated”, assuring that “there is much more to this story” and for this reason he is asking for more time. In the email to the publication, Musk notes that “if I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it has come to light.”
