The iPhone 13 is a success: Apple increases production by 10 million

It is rumored that Apple has asked its factories in China to increase production to 10 million more units of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models for the second quarter of the year after the success they seem to be having.

The crisis in the supply chain, the global pandemic and the restrictions in China were the main reasons why Apple and most companies planned their productions down.

It seems that little by little the reasons that have caused this have been solved, mitigated and eliminated, as consumers are returning to pre-pandemic purchasing patterns and the company is already preparing for the coming months.

According to the Chinese media “Apple is rumored to expand its production plan for the iPhone 13 in the second quarter of 2022. Among them, the production of high-end models of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max is expected to increase by about 10 million units, and Relevant players in Apple’s supply chain are expected to benefit.”

The iPhone 13 series was launched in mid-September last year, and although expectations were not met at the beginning, it seems that little by little it has been recovering ground. And although the differences with the Pro version of the iPhone 12 were minimal, it seems that this device has convinced consumers.

Among some of the features that we can find in these models are the ProMotion screen, improvements in the camera system, especially focused on photos and videos in low light, as well as the performance of both the iPhone 13 Pro and the ProMax.

It should also be noted that a few weeks ago the company introduced a new color, Alpine Green, which perhaps helped the numbers improve. Be that as it may, we will have to wait to see the sales data for this quarter and if this “return to normality” continues in the supply chain.
