The Sol station in Madrid will remain closed this Tuesday the 31st from 9:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve

The Sol station in Madrid, both in the case of Cercanías and Metro, will remain on Tuesday, as it was on Monday, starting at 9:00 p.m., on the occasion of the end-of-year chimes.

On the occasion of the Christmas dates, the Community of Madrid reinforces the public transport service by up to 50 percent through the special device activated by the Regional Transport Consortium, with an increase in offer both in the case of the Metro and the EMT and Cercanías .

Thus, the number of trains on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 has increased both on weekdays and on weekends and holidays, when the reinforcement will reach 50 percent.

To facilitate mobility between the peripheral neighborhoods and the center of the capital, the EMT will increase the service of line 32; while the Renfe trains that connect different towns in the region with the capital, will have “double composition during the weekends, this Monday and Tuesday, as well as on January 1 and 6.”

On the other hand, there will be an increase in the presence of Metro de Madrid staff and surveillance in the lobbies of stations where a greater influx of passengers is expected, as well as at any other point on the network where it is occasionally necessary.
