These are the best smartwatches for less than 100 euros, according to the OCU

Smartwaches or smart watches have more users every day. These smart devices are an extension of mobile phones, capable of notifying messages, measuring vital parameters or acting as an agenda, in addition to showing the time.

Its boom has led more and more brands to bet on developing this product, expanding the already existing variety of models on the market. Consequently, it is increasingly difficult to choose a watch.

To facilitate this work, the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has analyzed a total of 52 smartwatches based on their quality for less than 100 euros. And after that, he has highlighted two possible purchases as the best: the Xiaomi Mi Watch and the Huawei Watch Fit New.

This model enters the analysis for a penny, since its price is 99.99 euros. Among its advantages, the organization highlights its “good screen with high resolution”, 454 x 454 pixels. Also, its two weeks of autonomy, as well as a wide variety of fitness functions.

As drawbacks, OCU perceives that its step counter is inaccurate in indoor environments. It does not have NFC technology, through which to make contactless payments with the watch, or Wi-Fi.

This model is substantially cheaper than the previous one: 59.99 euros. As advantages, OCU highlights the precision of its GPS and its good fitness functions, together with its more than 200 hours of autonomy.

However, it stands out as disadvantages that its smart functions are very basic. It does not allow you to accept or reject calls from the watch and it does not have NFC technology to make contactless payments.

“The limitations of the cheapest models have to do with their versatility in smart functions. However, these watches make up for shortcomings such as payment with NFC, taking calls or controlling the mobile camera with its complete fitness functions, as well as with its good battery life, which can reach up to 400 hours if its functions are used moderately. Therefore, these are more recommended for a more sporty user profile. In general, those that have the most functions and sensors integrate, they are the ones whose battery lasts the least”, highlights the organization after its analysis.
