This is Kimoa E-Bike, the electric bicycle of the Fernando Alonso brand: price and where to buy

Before the first Formula 1 Grand Prix to be held in Miami, all the drivers and teams took a mass bath this morning at the foot of the Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Dolphins’ American football stadium, as a form of sponsorship of the debut event. All except Fernando Alonso, for whom his agenda had another personal event reserved for him.

The Spanish pilot presented, in parallel, the new electric bicycle that he will sell, Kimoa.

In 2017, the Asturian founded Kimoa, a textile firm with sustainable dyes and a sporty and urban character. With losses after his first three years, Alonso sold 75% of the business capital to the American company Revolution Brands, owner of Simply EV, which among other products designs electric scooters. Since then, the two-time world champion reserves 25% of the capital while acting as a brand ambassador.

To design this bike, Kimoa has partnered with , a manufacturer of carbon fiber products. Thus, the greatest particularity of this bicycle is that the entire frame is made of carbon fiber, printed on 3D printers.

Consequently, the entire chassis is made up of a single piece, with which it obtains greater strength and rigidity. This can be printed in different colors and combinations.

Apart from this element, the E-Bike offers many customization options: handlebars (urban or sports), styles, gears, wheels, lights, etc.

Also, it offers the possibility of being sold as a classic bicycle, without an electric motor, for $2,799. The big draw of the bike, though, is in its electric configuration, available for just over an additional $1,000 ($3,999).
