This is the subsidy of 463 euros for people who have not contributed enough to collect unemployment

The contribution is a key element in the lives of workers, since it allows future access to, for example, unemployment benefits. This applies to contributory benefits, that is, unemployment. In fact, if the employee does not reach the mandatory contribution periods, he may be entitled to other aid.

In these circumstances, the existence of the subsidy for insufficient contributions can be very useful for the worker, designed to financially protect people who, after the end of a labor relationship, have not contributed enough to be entitled to receive unemployment (360 days are required paid for unemployment).

It is one more of the subsidies that depend on the Public State Employment Service (SEPE) and as in the rest, its beneficiaries are required to comply with a series of requirements. Not only this condition of absence of sufficient contributions is useful, other conditions are needed, as stated by the organization:

-Be unemployed and in a legal situation of unemployment ().

-Be registered as a job seeker () and sign the activity commitment with the SEPE.

-Having contributed at least three months as unemployment if you have family responsibilities and in any case less than 360 days. In the case of not having family responsibilities, six months of contributions are required.

-Not have income greater than 75% of the Minimum Interprofessional Salary. If there are more people in the family unit, everyone’s income is taken into account by dividing it by the number of members.

What is the duration of the subsidy for insufficient contributions

The SEPE explains on its website that the duration of the subsidy for insufficient contributions depends “on the number of months contributed and whether or not you have family responsibilities”:

-In case of having family responsibilities, people who have contributed for three, four or five months may receive the subsidy for three, four or five months, respectively. If contributions have been made for six months or more, the duration is a total of 21 months for extendable periods of six months.

-People without family responsibilities have the right to receive six months of subsidy.

In addition, discontinuous fixed persons will have a duration “equal to the number of months listed for unemployment in the year prior to the request,” reports the SEPE.

How much is charged with the subsidy for insufficient contributions

The amount of this unemployment subsidy, as with the rest of the subsidies, is 80% of the IPREM (Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income), an amount that in 2022 is 463.21 euros per month.
