This is the Treasury calculator to find out if the 2021-2022 Income is ‘to be paid’ or ‘to be returned’

From the moment in which the citizen knows that he is obliged to present the Income Tax return, the next of his questions is the one that will undoubtedly have been asked by the rest of the millions of taxpayers who have to deliver the draft: will I get the Income ‘ to pay’ or ‘to return’?

So that the citizen does not get the (unpleasant or not) surprise by processing the draft, the Tax Agency has a method to approximate the result of the Income and know if the return will be ‘to be paid’ or ‘to be returned’. It is a method of special help for people who wish to make a prior consultation and especially for those who, not being obliged to deliver the Rent, want to know if, if they do, they will have good news or not.

The body allows it through Renta Web Open, a non-binding simulator with which the taxpayer will be able to know if they will have a positive or negative result in the Renta before getting down to work with the usual procedures such as obtaining the draft () and its subsequent completion and delivery.

To use Renta Web Open, the taxpayer must enter , without the need for access methods such as digital certificate ) or Cl@ve ().

How to use Renta Web Open to simulate your tax return

The operation of Renta Web Open is simple and intuitive, since it is about filling in the information that the system asks the taxpayer for. The Tax Agency has prepared a tutorial to clear up any doubts that may arise during the process:

-If it is the taxpayer’s first simulation (he can access previous ones if he did them previously), the corresponding language must be chosen: Spanish, Catalan, Galician or Valencian.

-Then the taxpayer will have to provide all relevant personal and family information: the data of the taxpayer himself and his spouse, children under 18 years of age who live with him, children between 18 and 24 years of age, children from 25 years with a disability, ascendants aged 65 or over with or without a disability…

-Subsequently, the taxpayer must click on ‘Accept’ and reach the ‘Summary of returns’, in which the results will appear in the available modalities. At that moment, the citizen has to click on each of the fields (general taxable base, the general taxable base subject to taxation, the taxable and taxable savings base…) completing the information requested in each one. from them.

-The next step is to complete the data regarding state and regional deductions. We must pay special attention to our situation so as not to miss any of them and not lose their benefits in the final result. Entering the information requested, it will be the system itself that calculates these deductions.

-When all the data has been entered, the taxpayer can return to the ‘Return Summary’ section and see the final effect of those changes on the result of what would be an approximate return to the one that would be presented by submitting the draft.
