The Titan security key authentication standards comply with the specification, an organization that was created in 2012 by giants in technology (Microsoft, Samsung, and Google itself among others) in order to address the lack of interoperability between various authentication technologiesthat is, it prevents each large company from becoming a dungeon that doesn’t talk to the others and, incidentally, it solves the problems of users having to remember multiple usernames and passwords.
The Advanced Protection Program was created with the aim of expanding the security of users of Google Cloud Platform products, as a form of protection, initially, of corporate user accounts that are regularly more vulnerable, that is, influencers, journalists, activists, managers and even election campaign teams.
Titan has wide compatibility
Now, Google has confirmed that these updates will also come to beta versions of G Suite, Google Cloud and Cloud Identity services. The APP establishes as mandatory the use of security keys such as Titanbut it is also capable of blocking access to third-party applications that have not been approved, in addition to performing a deep scan of electronics.
The Titan security key works with the most popular browsers, led by , Edge or Firefox, as well as other services such as , , and any that support the FIDO standards.
For its configuration, users will only have to access your Google account, enter the two-step verification website where they will leave them ready to use them, and the same key will serve for work as for your personal computer.
