WordPress security course #7: Sucuri – .com

Welcome to the seventh class of the . In today’s class we will see how Sucuri works, a very easy to use and highly recommended active and passive security WordPress plugin.

7 – Sucuri

Sucuri is one of my favorite WordPress security plugins. Not because it is the most complete, because perhaps there are some with more options, but it is very easy to use, it has the most important options (many of them we have already seen in previous lessons), and it is also both active and passive safety. In other words, it allows us both to avoid a hack and to “clean” a hacked website. Let’s go there:

As you can see in the video, many of the hardening options that we have available we had already activated by code in previous lessons. Important what I comment in the video about doing it one way or another. As for Sucuri’s “cleaning” system, you can see that it is easy and simple, and I totally recommend it.

So, the duties of this class are:

  • Hack your WordPress
    • deleting a file (not essential for operation)
    • modifying a file
    • adding a file
  • Pass Sucuri’s scanner to clean up the mess
  • Turn hardening options on and off

As always, you already know that you must do this in test websitesnot on your web in production… The experiments with soda!

And here the class of the day. You already know that for any questions you have the support tab of the . In the next class… More security!

Remember that if you will have access to everybody the courses and you can also enjoy everything from .
