Xiaomi launches its first 65-inch frameless OLED TV

Xiaomi has announced this Thursday the launch of its first television with OLED technology, a highly anticipated device that for now has only been released in the brand’s native country. The Master 64 OLED TV is a 65-inch television with 4K resolution, frameless design, HDMI 2.1 input and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Undoubtedly, from first the design catches the attention of anyone, with a practically flat screen that rests on a lower metal support. The screen measures 1.4 meters wide and 0.83 meters high and weighs 31.7 kg without the stand. At the bottom, it features a floating signal light.

The screen, as we have already mentioned, is a 65-inch OLED with 4K resolution in which 3,840×2,160 pixels are integrated, with a 178-degree field of vision and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It reproduces, according to the brand, 10.7 million colors (98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space) and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, plus 1,000 nits of brightness. This TV is made to optimize the picture regardless of the source and features more than 20 picture quality algorithms.

immersive sound

In this regard, Xiaomi has introduced a 3D sound system into the television, which emits sound towards the upper part of the room so that it bounces off the ceiling and thus creates a more immersive atmosphere. It does this with two 12.5W speakers placed on the sides along with two 10W surround speakers each and a 20W subwoofer. This complete sound technology is compatible with Dolby Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD.

The processor that powers this device is a quad-core Cortex A73 CPU along with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The operating system used is MIUI for TV, which allows compatibility with Smart TV and other smart home devices.

The remote that comes with the television incorporates NFC to be able to put the mobile on it and broadcast content directly to the television.

Price and availability

This television is presented in a single 65-inch model in black for 12,999 yuan (about 1,628 euros) and for now it will only be available in China. However, Xiaomi has been bringing all its devices to Europe little by little, so it is expected that sooner or later it will launch this in markets other than its native one.
