- Open Google Photos and enter the image you want to tag.
- Swipe up to enter the photo options menu.
- If Google Photos detects a person in the photo, you’ll see the People section appear.
- To tag the photo, tap on the pencil icon at the top left of the People section.

How to Make Google Photos Recognize a Face

The most efficient way for Google to recognize the people who appear in all the photos is a combination of both. The Group faces function is undoubtedly the most comfortable, as it does it automatically. However, since it’s not perfect, it’s advisable to also help with manual labeling.

Well, because in this way, by clicking on a face in the Library section, we can find all the photos in which a specific person appears. This will help us to have our photos more organized and to find them sooner if, for example, we want to make an album or a video with the photos that we have with someone specific.
