2061. Davinci Resolve questions and editor – .com

Today we are launching a new course and answering questions about online courses, validating deals, newsletter tools, Stripe Atlas, and much more.

But first, let’s remember that today we’re launching the , starting with a couple of classes in which we’ll look at media, editing, and editing.

In addition, you already know that if you sign up, you will have access to the , the , and three months of free hosting. Go for it!

And now yes, let’s go for the questions, the protagonists of the day:

1. Hello Joan!! My name is Albert. I joined the community recently and I am delighted with all the amount of resources, it is helping me a lot to start my project. Thank you very much! However… I have some doubts… I’ll tell you, I’m setting up an online course so that people can prepare for the C2 of Catalan. The problem that I intuit is that due to the type of buyers that I will have (teachers, firefighters, police officers, etc.) it is very easy and comfortable for them to group together and make a single purchase and share a user among all; In a faculty, where there are several who want to graduate, this is highly likely to happen. How I can avoid this? There are two great solutions that come to my mind. The first is to add some kind of two-way content that adds value to the course and makes people want to buy it individually. For example, doing a fortnightly live to answer questions or adding exercises periodically. What do you think? Is there any other option you can think of? The second solution, which I actually have no idea if possible, is technical. Is there some kind of way to control multi login? What do you do in such cases? Lastly, in a course I recently bought, I saw that the trainer had added the user’s ip address + email address in the recording, and this data was moving randomly across the screen every few seconds. Do you know him? You know how it works? Thank you very much and congratulations for everything you have achieved! (Albert)

2. Hello Joan, I would like to ask you a question. In my company, we have been observing a demand from 2 clients for a type of service for some time. 2 clients does not really sound like a big number, but if we start with a total of 10 clients, that idea changes anyway. The thing is, I’m thinking of validating this possible business idea on linkedIn. My idea is to look for medium-sized companies (which are the characteristics of these two companies) and directly ask them for the profile of workers who are similar to those who requested this service. I really don’t know if it’s a good idea to do this or not. And I would like, if possible, to know what opinion you would have. Thank you very much 🙂 (Alberto)

3. Hi Joan, the first query I’m sending and, although I could try it directly with your great support, I think it might be interesting to direct it to the podcast so that it can help other idiots. I’m having a pretty negative experience working with ActiveCampaign for one of the companies I work with the most. The quota for our more than 4,000 contacts is excessive but, since I was interested in learning and it is one of the most famous platforms, we jumped into the pool. After half a year of testing it, the delivery rates still haven’t gone up despite the recommendations of their support service, which, on the other hand, takes a long time to respond and, when they do, sometimes their cables get crossed and they answer me in Portuguese . ? On the other hand, we are having problems with presence in certain blacklists (not all emails reach the server). And, although I can’t say for sure, sending weekly segmented emails and monthly campaigns through ActiveCampaign seems to be related. And, to top it off, the integration with WooCommerce is disastrous. Transactions are not correctly accounted for in order to carry out post-campaign analytics, and the abandoned cart automation does not even work… All this I insist, after wasting hours talking to them in search of help that could be dedicated to creating valuable content to promote the inbound of that company. In short, I have tried to test MailPoet, from the WooCommerce developers themselves and, although I find it very easy to use, it does not make it so easy in order to label the actions that customers carry out with the received emails that, on the other hand, have the same problem, the delivery rate rarely reaches half. How do you feel about ActiveCampaign today? What about MailPoet? What alternatives could you have for the volume of contacts mentioned? Or, simply, what am I doing wrong? My apologies for the Quixote that I just marked. I suppose that listening to the podcast for so long has generated in me a kind of confidence with a team as powerful as the one you form at .com. Let’s see if we can find the key and, if we guide other listeners along the way, great. Regards, and thank you very much. (Sergio)

4. Aloha Joan, I’ve been a boluder for 8 months now and it’s the first time I’ve sent a pro question here. I feel that from now on, I won’t stop doing it hehehe. Anyway, my question is very simple: Is it essential to have a corporate email to use mailchimp? (hello@mydomain.com) or is it possible to send to the mailing list from a gmail email, for example? I ask because I don’t know where, but I think I had seen that it is not so viable to use gmail emails. Anyway, I hope you can help me, thanks! And a hug (Karen)

5. Hello! A pleasure and a big thank you as always. Given the limitations in Latin America, I have been considering using stripe atlas. Have you evaluated it before? Have you used it with any client? But I’m tired of teachable or the options here for subscription payments since there is no stripe. Any advice? Cheers! (Juan Sebastian)

6. Good morning, like everyone, I want to thank you for your time and dedication and send a huge thank you to your support team, they are cracks! The quick questions would be, how do you go from monetizing in lower case to monetizing in upper case? What would be the reasonable time frame? A year and a half ago I set up a membership site to write more and better (with creative triggers, writing resources and online workshops to read and comment on texts). There are few casualties, people are very happy, but it’s really hard for me to get high and the community doesn’t advance. I’ve tried several things but I can’t speed up the capture. I have a constant doubt: is it my fault or is it that the project does not give more of itself? I did not do a market study because I decided to start very lean and validate directly. And I’m monetizing! But it’s not enough. Should I keep fighting or should I give up? A hug! (Adella)

And here are the questions of the day! I hope the responses have been of interest and helpful to both those who have asked and those who have listened. I recommend you take a look at the plugins and for Albert’s question, as well as the and for Adella’s doubts. 🙂

As always, thank you all so much for your five-star ratings on , on , and , subscribing to and for being there, on the other side. Without you this would not be what it is, without you this simply… It would not be!

We’ll hear each other tomorrow Tuesday with a business idea, which perhaps, perhaps, will be… Your business idea! As always, at 07:07. Until then… Very good Monday, and a better week!
