The new video game for the Steam platform, Lost Ark, the free multiplayer role-playing game produced by Amazon Games and SmileGate RPG, is now available in Spain.

Its official launch was in 2019 in South Korea, but it was not until this week that the title is now available worldwide thanks to Amazon Games. Since the pre-release was announced, Lost Ark has become one of the most played titles in Steam history with over 532,000 players. But due to its resounding success, users have experienced long server queues waiting for the game to download; although they have since assured that the problem has already been addressed and that users can now download the game normally.

Undoubtedly, another of the most striking things is the participation of Amazon, and its Amazon Games platform. The North American company has seen the rise of this industry and wants to be part of it. SmileGate CEO Chi Won Gil explained that “Amazon Games is in a perfect position to introduce Lost Ark to a new audience and cultivate our relationships with them through channels like Twitch and Prime Gaming.”

The work for this game has consisted of adapting the title for the West. The company has been in charge of translating both the texts and the voices of the characters in addition to making sure that the items for sale can be obtained by playing, to comply with the standards of western players.

Lost Ark will be the second title that Amazon Games publishes, after launching New World in September of last year. It is even rumored that Amazon could take over the rights to the Lord of the Rings to create its own video game, he says.
