Aragon creates an application to calculate the payment for inheritance tax

From the Aragonese Government website there is a link to this application that allows users through several screens, and by answering a series of questions, to calculate the cost of this tax. This is how this step by step simulator works.

This simulator consists of some first screens in which the user has to answer some simple questions so that the citizen can find out whether or not he is obliged to present a settlement and, if he has to, the amount that he would have to pay for it

Among the questions that have to be answered through this simulator are the degree of kinship you have with the person who has died, specifying if you are a spouse, father or mother, older or younger child, grandchild or other relatives.

Likewise, it must be indicated if the person has a degree of disability greater than 65% and if the value of the inheritance has a value greater than 150,000 euros. This last issue in which users have support to know how to calculate what is received as an inheritance and that includes several examples.

After solving these questions, it is indicated whether or not the inheritance and gift tax must be paid. In the event that the answer is affirmative, the link is indicated to use the simulator and find out the amount that would have to be paid.

It must be taken into account that this simulator does not automatically apply the reductions or bonuses to which one may be entitled, and it is necessary to expressly include them.

It should be remembered that people with a recognized disability of 65% have a total reduction and that, in relation to the tax on donations to the spouse or children, a reduction of up to 75,000 euros is established provided that the person receiving the donation has assets of less than 100,000 euro.

Once in the simulator, the person has to mark whether it is a succession or a donation, as well as other data including whether it is an inheritance or legacy, life insurance policy due to death… In addition, you must mark the accrual date, the type of ownership (full, bare or usufruct) and the distribution (in percentage), among others.

The person also has to indicate their date of birth, the degree of kinship, the existing patrimony, the degree of disability and assets and expenses.

With this data, the person will go to another screen in which they must mark the bonuses or reductions to which they may be entitled, apart from indicating other relative data such as the date of presentation, reductions in donations received in the previous five years and accumulation of donations. . Then the self-assessment appears.
