E3 2019 arrives: conference schedules and all the news that is expected

The Electronic Entertainment Expo video game fair, better known as E3, kicks off its 2019 edition this Tuesday June 11 in Los Angeles (United States), and until June 13 it will be the place where video game developers and related products will expose their novelties to fans and other members of the industry.

E3 is an international event organized since 1995 by the Entertainment Software Association, an American organization that brings together the main video game developer studios, including Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, EA, Nintendo, Square Enix and Ubisoft, among others.

In this event, the studios take the opportunity to announce the video games they are working on, revealing new titles, or showing their progress in the development of the most anticipated video games or sharing their release dates or windows.

Microsoft and Sony Interactive Entertainment, responsible for two of the main consoles of the moment: Xbox One and PlayStation 4, respectively, also usually participate.

However, PlayStation has announced that it will not hold any event in this 2019 edition of E3, this being the first time in the fair’s 24-year history that it will be absent.

Visitors to E3 will be able to see first-hand the news of the participating studies between the 11th and 13th, but the presentations of the studies will take place during the days prior to their start.

We collect here the programs of the main presentations and events that will take place during this E3 2019, with the schedules (in peninsular Spain time) and with the news that is expected in each of them.

Saturday 8: EA the main course

Electronic Arts (EA) repeats this 2019 as the first major studio to celebrate its presentation. At 6:15 p.m., the American studio will begin its EA Play broadcast, where it will broadcast videos every half hour about the video games Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends, Battlefield V, FIFA, Madden NFL and The Sims 4.

Sunday 9: Microsoft day

Sunday is the day chosen by Microsoft to hold its conference. The company has promised “something new” at this event, in which news is expected about the versions of the Xbox One console it works on, under the code name ‘Anaconda’. The company recently presented its All Digital version, without disc support.

In its presentation, Microsoft usually also presents its news in exclusive video games, such as Forza, Halo Infinite and Fable 4, as well as in other external titles that will come to its console. At E3 2018, Microsoft presented 50 games, 18 of them exclusive.

Monday 10: Bethesda shift

The Bethesda studio organizes its conference at E3 2019 this Monday the 10th, at 2:30 in the morning in peninsular Spanish time. Although the new The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield are not yet expected, other IPs like DOOM and Wolfenstein could be the protagonists.

The PC Gaming Show, for its part, is held at 7:00 p.m. It is a conference in which the main innovations in computer video games are presented (they will present more than 30 titles) and also in components.

The French studio Ubisoft organizes its event at 10:00 p.m., a conference in which news about Just Dance, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and Roller Champions is expected, and although it is less likely, also about Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Skull and Bones.

Nintendo will be, this June 11, one of the companies that will close the broadcasts prior to E3, a few minutes before its doors open, with its broadcast at 6:00 p.m. No new versions of Switch are expected to arrive, although a mini version is known to exist for the fall and a more powerful one that could arrive at the end of June.

Other novelties could be their own video games, with novelties in the Mario, Zelda (with the Link’s Awakening remake) and Pokémon (Shield and Sword) sagas, and even possible new titles such as Bayonetta 3 or Astral Chain.
