Electricity price today March 15 by the hour: when is it cheaper and when is it more expensive to put appliances

As shown by data from , the organization that manages the electricity markets of Spain and Portugal and collects their rates, the average price of electricity in Spain during this Tuesday, March 15, is 249.66 euros/MWh. Very high figures when compared to the price set a year ago, when the MWh cost 34.61 euros.

With regard to the daily variation, with reasoned stability throughout the day, the most profitable hours are concentrated in the early morning. This leaves the section between 3:00 and 4:00 as the cheapest with a price of 209.79 euros/MWh.

At what time is electricity more expensive?

On the other hand, while the afternoon is somewhat more expensive, it is with the arrival of the night when the price rises the most, rising to 311.71 euros/MWh (between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.).

Why does the price of electricity vary so much?
