A 12-megapixel ultra-wide with an aperture of f/2.4, a 120-degree field of view that allows four times more image to be captured; a 12-megapixel wide-angle with an f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and an f/2 aperture. The iPhone 11 for its part has also improved in the photographic section compared to the XR and is only one step below the Pro model in terms of versatility, not in image quality. It mounts a double lens that combines the wide angle with the ultra wide angle, that is, we will not have a zoom with which to get closer to the shots.
This difference between the cameras is especially noticeable both in photo and video, since in the Pro it will allow us to get closer to the scene. In addition, it is also especially useful in Portrait mode where we will have a second point of view and we can play with another shooting angle.
Portrait mode has improved on both phones thanks to iOS 13. Now it’s not only designed for people, but the company’s recognition and processing system also recognizes pets with fidelity. In addition, a new effect, Mono High Key Light, has been added to take elegant black and white photos.
Beyond portrait mode, the camera on both phones has taken an abysmal leap and Apple has hit the table in one of the areas that was most claimed.
To the versatility of being able to choose between various types of framing without having to move from the site, we must add a new generation of HDR that makes the photographs look impressive. This new version of the technology is based on new machine learning algorithms developed by Apple that recognize people, information that it treats differently from the rest of the shot. Faces are more naturally lit, with lights and shadows that are vastly different from competing mobile phones.
Deep Fusion will have to be added to HDR in a few days, a technology that will arrive with iOS 13.2 and designed to capture more detail thanks to taking 9 images at the moment of taking the photos and combining them pixel by pixel to optimize textures, details and noise in all corners of the image.
This year the phones have made the leap to night mode. Thanks to the ultra-wide lens, the new iPhones are capable of capturing more light than ever, so Apple has incorporated a night mode that works differently from others on the market and integrates it naturally into the application.

The exposure lasts several seconds -usually about 2 or 3 seconds- which will have to keep the phone as stable as possible. In this way, if we shoot with the main camera -and there are good lighting conditions-, the wide angle will capture more information from the environment and we will be able to play with it to complement our photography.
Another novelty of the camera is the possibility of making video instantly with the QuickTake mode. If we are taking a photo and suddenly think that the shot would be better on video, just slide your finger from the shutter button to start a video. In addition, the phone will be able to keep focusing on the subject of the shot automatically thanks to the powerful A13 chip.
Although in photography they have made a huge leap in quality, in video it is even greater and the iPhone is positioned as the best phone for recording video on the market. We have a real professional camera in our pocket. We will be able to record fluid and unlimited content at 4K and 60 frames per second.
It has a powerful image stabilizer system that looks like we are carrying a steadicam in our pocket. During recording we can switch from one lens to another, which provides more versatility.
