Figma Course #1. Introduction – .com

In the first class of the Introduction to Figma course, we are going to learn what this tool is and what we can use it for.

Figma is a vector drawing tool that allows us to work collaboratively in the cloud in real time. It is designed for user interface design: websites and applications, and we can also use it to design images for our social networks, for example.

We can create prototypes to show how our designs behave and share them via a link, with permission to view or edit.

We can use it both in the browser and in the desktop application and it is cross-platform: it can be used on both Windows and Mac. My recommendation is that if possible, you install the application to work on your computer. Go for it!

You see it! In this course, I hope I can transmit my passion for the tool to you and that you also fall in love with it.

Figma has a free plan and a community where files and plugins are shared. But this does not mean that it is free or open source software: Figma is a private company and is proprietary licensed software.

The Figma Team Library will allow us to share the same source of truth with the members of the same team. Through components and styles, we will be able to make consistent designs in all our files.

As an exercise of this first topic, I invite you to visit the Figma website, and navigate through it, to learn about the benefits and news of the tool.
