How much does it cost to change tires in Spain?

As can be deduced from a study carried out by the ‘online’ tire comparator, the average price of replacing the four tires in Spain is 466 euros in 2017, an amount practically identical to the 470 euros that it cost in 2016.

The company assures that, despite the fact that several brands increased their rates in the first half of the year due to a higher cost of raw materials and investments in R&D, the driver has not been affected by these measures thanks “to the good service from after-sales professionals”.

By region, Melilla becomes the place in Spain where it is cheapest to change the four tires, 206 euros on average. In second and third position are Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with an average price of 347 euros, and Cádiz, with an average price of 359 euros, respectively.

These prices are well below those reached in the five main Spanish provinces. In Barcelona, ​​the change of the four tires amounts to an average of 505 euros, in Madrid 493 euros, ahead of Zaragoza, Valencia and Seville, with averages of 490, 459 and 433 euros, respectively.

For its part, changing the front tires costs an average of 236 euros in Spain, with Palencia being the cheapest province, with 164 euros. Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are in second and third place with averages of 170 and 177 euros, respectively.

As for the replacement of the two rear tires, the cost in 2017 in Spain stood at 234 euros, and Melilla was once again the region with the smallest average, up to 132 euros, followed by Lérida and La Rioja, with 152 and 156 euros on average.
