On the other hand, the is the brain of your business, being the place where we centralize all the information of our company (data and numbers of clients, sales, orders, etc.). Being the brain, it is important that it speaks with other parts of the body, that is, with other tools of our business. It is a great solution, because within its marketplace, there are many tools at our disposal, which allow us to enhance the CRM.

Connecting your Pipedrive account with WhatsApp Business will allow us to:

  • Agility. You will manage customer service much easier.
  • Autonomy. You empower the rest of your team, because from the CRM other people on your team will be able to do business management without having to use another application.
  • Control. You can assign qualification of those and status of the conversation with your customers. Thus, even if there is a shift change or another person takes over customer service, there will be no loss and the information will always be centralized within your CRM.

To connect our CRM Pipedrive and Whatsapp, we need a third leg: twilioan application that will work as Integrator of WhatsApp Business conversations in our CRM. Thanks to Twilio you can:

  • Manage all conversations Whatsapp with your prospects from Pipedrive.
  • Assign those conversations with your customers to other members of the team so that they can manage them.
  • Create new contacts, new conversations or update existing contacts in your CRM through the conversations that come to us via WhatsApp.
  • Thanks to the templates you send automated messages proactively to your customers.
  • From Pipedrive itself, you can see all the conversation history that you have had with the same client. That way, if your sales team is answering a phone call, the history of conversations we’ve had with that client can be there at the same time.

Step by step to connect Whatsapp Business and Pipedrive

  1. The first thing is have a WhatsApp Business account. You must validate a phone number as a Whatsapp Business account for WhatsApp to label it as a business account.
  2. Within the Pipedrive marketplace, search for the app “Whatsapp by Twilio” and install it. Important, you will only be able to install this app in Pipedrive, if you are an account administrator and have access to “Account Settings”.
  3. When you hit install, a pop-up window opens where you select which Pipedrive account you want on that installation. If you have multiple Pipedrive accounts, you must select the correct account.
  4. Then select the visibility. If you want only you to have access to what happens with that installation, put “private”. If, on the other hand, you want that vision to be shared, you put “Share” and thus, the entire team that has access to that Pipedrive account will be able to access all WhatsApp messages.
  5. Once the installation is finished, you will be redirected to “Account Settings”in order to link Pipedrive with Twilio with the Whatsapp account.
  6. Twilio will need to validate your Whatsapp number before you can use it in Pipedrive and then it will ask you to validate your Whatsapp account with two codes before sending it to Pipedrive, the SID and the token. We add the codes and the account will be linked.
  7. You already have your Twilio account linked to Pipedrive and it is, in turn, linked to your Whatsapp Business number.

We recommend that you send a Whatsapp message to that business Whatsapp account and check on “Prospect Inbox > Messaging” if you have indeed received this message within the Pipedrive ecosystem.
