Why Gravity Forms?

Gravity Forms is a very versatile plugin that allows you to easily and visually create forms in WordPress.

We can create from basic forms, such as the contact form, to more advanced ones with all kinds of functionalities. In fact, it gives us the possibility to add conditional logic, create tests, surveys, or even integrate it with PayPal or Stripe to make payments, and create a small eCommerce in a simple way.

In addition, the forms that we make using this tool come already prepared as standard to be seen correctly on a wide variety of mobile devices.

These are just some of the advantages and possibilities of using this powerful plugin. If you want to know more about it and some of its accessories, we have a tool available with which you can take advantage of this extension.

Installation and basic configuration of Gravity Forms

As it is a premium plugin, we will not find it in the WordPress repository, but we have it for sale at . Or if you are a subscriber you can download it from the “Downloads” section of the .

Once we have downloaded the file, we can start the installation. To do it we simply have to go to our WordPress desktop, and access “Plugin / Add new / Upload plugin”.

Next we select the compressed file and click on “Install now”. As soon as it’s done, we activate it.

At the end of the process, a new menu option will appear in the WordPress administration panel called “Forms”, and which in turn has several options to choose from. At this point, the execution of the plugin configuration wizard will also begin.

Let’s review one by one all the options of this new menu that we have in our administration panel:

  • Forms: By clicking on this option, the forms that we have created on our website with Gravity Forms will be listed. By placing ourselves on top of any of them, we can see the options available for each one:
    • Edit: To access the form editing page.
    • Settings: Where we can configure its settings.
    • Tickets: Useful when we want to see the entries/messages sent from this form.
    • preview: It will show us a preview (it will be different from the one we can see if we add the form to a page).
    • Double: Allows you to duplicate the form in question.
    • Paper bin: To discard the form.
