I did not imagine that a few months later I would talk to him again to explain his departure from the account that he has had for 5 years, and that he has helped to turn into a reference of the humor application in . Jorge is no longer part of Desatranques Jaén, and faces a new stage with many challenges ahead.
To talk about it and what has happened in his former company in recent weeks, we have done this interview.
The departure of the company
To begin, let’s put some context to this story: Jorge Manuel Herculano González (Badajoz, 1966) was since 2015 the person in charge of the social networks of Desatranques Jaén. a true idol for hundreds of Spanish CMs who achieved something (apparently) impossible: that a company dedicated to unblock wells, roads and septic tanks uncover the jar of the essences of the Universe with a gigantic arsenal of memes, videos and songs that have the sense of humor as a common denominator.
Last April 1stJorge himself was in charge of announcing his departure from the company, of course, through a tweet, in which he also explained what his new Twitter account would be from that moment on:

And then the problems began.
Many of his followers reacted with signs of sweetie and starting to follow him on his new account, but there were also a few who They protested the departure and they began to see the memes and publications of the company (made from then on by the owner of Desatranques, Jesus Sonera) and speaking even of a ideological turn on the account.
“I’m a little hallucinating with what is happening here. We have never had any problems with what he published”, explains Jorge. “Jesus is a person who He has a very similar line of thought to mine. In some respects he is even more radical than me. People are saying very ugly things about him, they even call him a boomer… If I’m older than him!”
The reasons for leaving
At all times, Jorge has wanted to make it clear that there are no ideological reasons behind his departure from Desatranques Jaén: «What has happened is something professional, economical. There was a lack of comprehension of the work that I did… and that I partly understand. And it was something that happened from the beginning.
He has another type of job, he doesn’t have the vision of what this is, or at least not the same as I have, nor is he aware of the hours I’ve put in here. I’ve tried to update you, but that difference has been increasing, and has become unsustainable. We were waiting for several projects: the series, the band (which we had wanted to make compatible with the series for a long time) and there were some more plans…

People’s reaction to the march
«What happens is that we always saw it from a very limited point of view. We were not aware of the repercussion that all this was going to have. Many things surprise us. The truth is that I am very sorry. For Jesus, for the company, for the workers, for the people in the series… for everyone. Everything has changed overnight.”
Jorge clarifies that the relationship with the company continues after leaving: «They wanted to do things right: We are in touchnot because of what is happening now in networks, but because there are always fringes pending, transferring the web, Facebook, merchandising…”

Since Jorge’s departure, Desatranques has had several controversial moments on Twitter, such as when he published The last of them occurred just yesterday, with a publication that followed the usual “meme” style of the account, but whose execution was not received equally.

Jorge is clear about it: “I have seen it, and it is poorly planned. Half a tweet, with the text above, alludes to a third person… but it is not ideologically different from what we have been doing.
Visually it seems that yes, that it is a criticism of the government, because it is the first impact that people are left with. But is that there are people who are waiting for these things, like viruses and bacteria: you are operating, the wound is opened, they find a hole and the infection begins.
For him, for his children… I would not like them to label it like they are putting it now. I am not going to go into what his political ideology is, but we are related. Even on some issues he is more radical than meagainst the craziest.
All the memories I have of that stage are endearing, of the company, the people, of Jesus… The number of times we have laughed, moved, the incredible stories that we have experienced. That’s why I don’t like all of this.”
The success of Unlocking
George is pretty modest When talking about his success with Desatranques: «I don’t think it was my thing, so to speak. I think it was a great trolleven by the company itself. People made memes of the company and we followed them and replicated the meme. It has been a communication in which we share a lot of things.
The one who wears a Desatranques shirt he wears it for himself, for feeling like a member of a community. A super curious phenomenon. The account has always been the truck, the company.

Future plans
With such background, many of his followers are waiting to know what Jorge’s next professional steps will be.
«I have no plans for now. I’m a bit lost in that regard. The departure was rushed and I decided to remove this (the account) that had been pending for several months. But I’m not sure what to do.
But of course, the band exists. There are three professionals who have been in the world of music production for several decades, there are the demos, it was scheduled for May to hold a presentation festival in Jaén, we had spoken with the city council… we had spoken with Jesús that we were going to do something with the series …»

Jorge, who says that his day-to-day life has not changed much with the confinement (“I work from home, in a town next to Jaén, we are practically alone, we can go out to a small patio… so not much has changed”), say goodbye with a new sign of humility:
I have been closing some topics that were pending and that I also have, responding to some offers that have come for me to take them to the networks, very kind everyone… But gives me a bit of trouble. When you get fired you think “who is going to hire me, at 54 years old”.
