1. Manolo Blahnik
We cannot talk about luxury Spanish shoes and not mention the famous Manolo Blahnik. The history of the “Manolos” is quite extensive, although surely we all remember them for the character of Carrie Bradshaw, in “Sex and the City”. The shoes of this Spanish designer became amazingly popular during the six seasons of the famous series. In fact, the protagonist’s marriage proposal was carried out with some fabulous “Manolos” in midnight blue.
Manolo Blahnik was born in Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. This Spaniard, living in England, opened his first shoe store in 1973 in London. Since its inception, he has created countless models of unique women’s footwear. His hallmark is the very high and fine heels.
2. Pretty Ballerinas
The story of Pretty Ballerinas is, to say the least, curious. The mother firm was born in 1918 as a family ballet shoe business. The second generation of the family, led by Jaime Mascaró, opted to shape the company, with much more versatile products, ideal for women to be able to wear shoes comfortably on a day-to-day basis.
Pretty Ballerinas, as such, came onto the market in 2005. Today half of the group’s production belongs to this firm. Actresses, models and all kinds of celebrities advocate for the famous ballerinas of this brand.
3. Pure Lopez
Pura López shoes are known for fitting the best-known women in the world. In addition to having become one of the favorite firms in Spanish cinema, it is easy to see personalities such as Queen Letizia wearing shoes from this luxury brand.
Pura López is a native of Elche who was born under the protection of a family business that manufactures shoes, in Elche. The designer carried out various design studies and in 1986 she joined the family business. But, it was not until 1987 when the Pura López brand was officially born.
4.Magrit
Elda is one of the cradles of footwear in Spain. Magrit is undoubtedly one of the most experienced Spanish luxury shoe brands at the moment. This shoe brand was born in 1929 by the Amat family. Today, Magrit has become one of the most famous and prestigious firms in Spain, thanks to its artisan production.
