Luxury pools: the latest and most modern

If you’re considering building a new pool or remodeling your existing one, don’t do it until you read this article. Luxury Pools has recently published the results of the 2014 Pinnacle Awards, where the most avant-garde designers of this year are chosen. Information provided by the website of .

Under the criteria of functionality, hydraulic and structural engineering, landscape architecture, functionality and appearance, the experts that make up the Luxury Pools jury evaluated the most luxurious and innovative pools in the United States to arrive at an exclusive list of only three winners. After seeing these pools, you may have a clearer idea of how you want yours.

The most notable of the projects awarded by this specialized magazine is, without a doubt, that of the Anthony & Sylvan Pools studio, since it achieved an honorable mention for its excellence in design and construction. This company, which has been dedicated to the creation of luxury pools since 1946, participated in the contest with an impressive contemporary-style infinity pool located in Las Vegas, Nevada. As part of its project, the company included images of the site before the pool was built, as well as various drawings of the hydraulic engineering applied to the design. The final result is beautifully portrayed in a series of images that underline the impressive views that the project offers to the viewer.

The Anthony & Sylvan pool combines the beauty of the interior environments with a natural flow of the exterior landscape, where the design explodes in an aquatic space that seems to have no limit and that flows into the Las Vegas skyline. “Designing and building this pool was a real challenge, but in the final product, every detail paid off,” says Tom Casey, the company’s vice president.

For their part, the designers of Cipriano Custom Swimming Pools & Landscaping were also honored with an honorable mention for their outstanding design and mastery of construction. And although perhaps the project with which the team participated in the contest is a bit extravagant, the truth is that it is also interesting.

The shape of its Glass-Tile Violin-Shaped Pool simulates, as the name itself indicates, the silhouette of a violin. A play on lighting and design creates the illusion of the strings and other elements of the musical instrument. In addition, this peculiar project integrates the most advanced technology that allows you to control the music, the water show and even the appearance of the pool, through various lighting elements.

Lastly, the list of winners includes the designers from Questar Pools and Spas, who came up with a much more minimalistic, but equally captivating concept. Honored for its elegant design, the Glass-Tile Perimeter-Overflow pool is a unique piece of architecture that stands out for its simplicity.

Its design, which finds inspiration in the gentle overflow of the waters, is subtly decorated by various geometric platforms. Three of its sides spill out completely into infinite axes, while its fourth side has an element of fire that adds elegance and a bit of mystery to the final design.
